About

It’s so often true that what drives us in life is derived from frustration. Early in my working life, I was frustrated by myself! I was skilled, knowledgeable, not-unintelligent and sincerely liked by peers and colleagues. And yet I was not performing well.

That frustration led to a journey to understand how to achieve success and satisfaction at work, with a key milestone in the journey being a doctorate in which I investigated personal professionalism. I have shared the concepts that I have learned and developed with clients across industry sectors all around the world, and now I am delighted to share them with you.

I am an Australian management consultant now based in London with my lovely family. In addition to a doctoral degree, I hold an MBA, a masters in Law (LLM) and a bachelors degree majoring in exercise physiology and biomechanics – all fun!

And this is what I believe:

  • Everyone in any work-role should strive to be professional.
  • Being professional brings us respect and valuable personal branding in a tough employment market. And it brings even more:
    • Satisfaction in our work
    • Trust and confidence placed in us by employers and clients
    • Better organisations arising from people having purposeful roles and respectful, professional interactions
    • Personal pride in our contribution back to our organisations and communities.

Everyone can develop their professionalism by:

  • Learning and applying eight straightforward concepts
  • Reflecting on our experiences through the lens of those concepts, and
  • Applying those concepts to our daily working lives

My commitment to you is grounded in the belief that we can all achieve true value and personal satisfaction by adopting professional attitudes and mindsets.
